This achievement recognizes Inland Valley’s dedication to providing optimal care for injured patients. Inland Valley Medical Center now has trauma surgeons in-house, 24 hours a day/7 days a week, and support staff to assist in the treatment of patients.

Inland Valley has once again earned The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval for Advanced Primary Stroke Center Certification. The Gold Seal of Approval mark represents a symbol of quality from the Joint Commission.

American Heart Association/American Stroke Association’s Get with the Guidelines® Stroke Gold-Plus Quality Achievement Award with Target: Stroke Honor Roll (2018)
To qualify for the Target: Stroke Honor Roll, hospitals must meet quality measures developed to reduce the time between the patient’s arrival at the hospital and treatment with the clot-buster tissue plasminogen activator, or tPA, the only drug approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to treat ischemic stroke.
Joint Center awards
Advanced Gold Seal Certification from The Joint Commission for Hip and Knee Surgery and Core Certification for Shoulder Surgery (2018-2019)
The hospital system is one of a select few hospitals in all of Riverside and San Diego Counties combined to achieve the gold seal of approval for this line of service. The advanced certification is for Joint Commission-accredited hospitals, critical access hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers seeking to elevate the quality, consistency and safety of their services and patient care.

Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation and Quality Improvement Program Designated Bariatric Surgery Comprehensive Center (2018-2019)
The Bariatric Comprehensive Center at Inland Valley has once again been re-accredited by the Metabolic and Bariatric Surgical Accreditation and Quality Improvement Program, the only nationwide accreditation and quality improvement program for bariatric surgery. The Center's re-accreditation is a testament to patient safety, its primary goal.
